Spring mixed with autumn leaves

לזה לא צפיתי. השבוע ירדנו לצלם את הפוסט בשדרות נורדאו שבסמוך לביתנו וגליתי שהשדרה כולה מלאה בעלי שלכת כאילו נובמבר ברקע והחורף עוד לפנינו (אמן). התלבטתי אם השמלה הפרחונית מסתדרת לי עם הרקע הסמי סתוי הזה והוחלט שכן. 

אני לא יודעת להסביר את חיבתי לשדרות, אבל אני תמיד נהנת ללכת בהן, אולי אלו הפרחים, העצים, בתי הקפה הקטנים ושבילי האופניים? כנראה ששילוב מוצלח של הכל בתוספת מרחב הליכה נוח.
בקשר לשמלה שאני לובשת, לפני כשנה כשביקרתי בניו יורק, כל מטרתי היתה לחזור עם אוסף שמלות קיציות ונוחות. באמת כך היה. מצאתי שלל שמלות מבד נושם ונעים עם הדפסים חמודים שישמשו אותי בקיץ, זו אחת מהן. שמלה של טומי הילפיגר שנקנתה במחיר די מצחיק של כ-30$ במייסיס.
אז גם בקיץ הקרוב תראו אותי בשלל שמלות מפוספסות, מנוקדות או פרחוניות זה לא משנה, העיקר לעמוד בעומס החום הקרב ובא. 
כבר באחד הפוסטים הקרובים, אספר לכם על השמלות שלי לקיץ הקרוב, שחלקן תפרתי ועוד אתפור חלק בסטודיו וחלק בבית עם הברנינה שלי.

Hi! 

So I wasn't expecting this! going out to shoot in the boulevard next to where we live and find this lovely autumn leave when spring has just set its mark and flowers around bloom in colorful and perfect shapes. When I saw it, I thought for a second if the autumn leave suits the dress I am wearing and I decided to go with it.

I don't know how to explain my love to boulevard, I rather walk on boulevards than sidewalks. Why? the trees, flowers, tiny coffee shops and probably the European atmosphere it reminds me.

Last year when I was in NYC for vacation, all I wanted was to return with a collection of summer dresses. Comfortable, breathing, light, colorful dresses. And so I did, this one by Tommy Hilfiger I bought for ~30$ in Macys. 

So in the upcoming summer you are going to see me in all sorts of dresses, floral, stripes, clean, or polka dots. Just let me stay chilled and pass that summer :)

Vacation in Greece #1

שבוע שעבר, בהפתעה כמעט מוחלטת, טסנו ליוון לחמישה ימים. כבר הרבה זמן שאנחנו חושבים על חופשה אמיתית, כזו שנחים בה ולא מסע קניות וביקור בשלל מקומות. חופשת בטן גב. בחמישי בלילה זה קרה ובשישי כבר היינו על טיסה.

אבל לא כל כך פשוט לארגן מלתחה לחופשה כשיודעים עליה לילה לפני הטיסה. ארזתי מה שיכולתי לחשוב עליו, בעיקר צבעים בהירים וקלילים ובשישי בבוקר אפילו הספקתי לפקוד את גאפ רגע לפני היציאה לשדה בכדי להשלים מלתחה (כבר הזכרתי, חופשה ללא שופינג).
ביום הראשון היה קריר, יצאנו לטיול בלינדוס (תודה טל!) שנקראת גם העיר הלבנה. לבשתי שמלת ג'ינס - הפריט שילווה אותי (ובטוחה שגם בנות אחרות) די הרבה בקיץ הקרוב. ובכלל פריטי ג'ינס חוזרים אלינו (אותי הם מעולם לא עזבו) ואני מבסוטה מזה.

הצטיידתי בשלל עיתונים; הגליון החדש של Porter, גליון Vouge עם קים וקניה (הייתי חייבת!) ו-elle של מאי. חומר קריאה לשעת רביצה ליד הים או בבריכה.

בסופו של דבר גם ברודוס הצלחתי לקנות משהו, סניקרס לבנות מעולות של Superga. סופר נוחות וכיפיות.

חופשה של אוכל ים תיכוני מעולה, שמש (רוב הזמן), פריימים יפים ואהוב ליבי.

Last week in a complete surprise we took off for a short vacation in Greece of 5 days. It's been a while now that we were talking about pure vacation. No shopping or crazy sight seeing, only sunbathing and rest.

It wasn't easy to organize vacation outfits in a short notice, I chose mainly comfortable, bright colors clothing and even went to Gap on Friday morning, just before the flight, to purchase few things for a perfect vacation wardrobe (as I mentioned, no shopping in that vacation).
In the first 2 days it was a bit cold, I chose this denim dress as my upcoming summer outfit. We all need one for that summer, denim is going to take over our wardrobe and I love it!

I took with me my favorite fashion magazines; Porter, US Vouge (wanted to see the fuss behind Kim and Kanye) and Elle for my sunbathing near the pool.
Well guess what? I bought shoes there! These white sneaker by Superga are SUPER chic and comfortable.

Blue, Red & White

בהמשך למסעותינו בימי שבת נעימים ומוארים, איל סיפר לי על המושבה האמריקאית בתל אביב. על המקום היפיפה וש"יכול להיות ממש נחמד להצטלם שם". מבנים משוחזרים, שקט מופתי שמתאים יותר למושב (אם לא באים בימי שבת כשיש משחק בבלומפילד) וצבעוניות של פריחה משגעת ומטופחת היטב. ממליצה לכם לקפוץ לאיזור ולהתעפל מהשכונה המתוקתקת והנעימה שקמה (או יותר נכון, שוחזרה) על גבול פלורנטין-יפו.

אני מרגישה שהפוסט הזה די משקף את מה שאני אוהבת לעשות כשאני מתלבשת. שילבתי בין חולצה מפוספסת לסווטשירט מעוטר, בין קז'ואל לנעליים מפונפנות. ניגודים כמו שאני אוהבת. אני לא יכולה לומר שיש לי "סגנון" ספיצי, אבל אני מאוד אוהבת את השילובים של קז'ואל ועילית. 
איכשהו, במושבה האמריקאית התאמתי את הצבעים לדגל האמריקאי (ממש במקרה! נשבעת!). 
עוד רגע פסח ואני מנסה לחשוב על אאוטפיט הולם לחג, למרות שבכל מה שנוגע לאופנה ובגדים אני יותר טיפוס של הרגע האחרון. יכולה לתכנן במשך שבועיים אבל חצי שעה לפני שצריך לצאת, לחשוב על משהו שונה לגמרי מהרעיון המקורי. כרגע ההתלבטויות שלי נעות בין פסים לפירחוני.

Hi,

Another one of these Saturdays when it's sunny and beautiful outside, Eyal told me about the American colony in south Tel-Aviv. The buildings around went through a serious makeover and restored the whole neighborhood. It is located between Florentin and Jaffa, and you must pay a visit there. Great view, colorful and pleasant.

In this outfit I did something that reflects the way I love dressing up. I love mixing! I love taking casual and mix it with high fashion, creating a oppositeness that goes well together.

And somehow, without even planning, I managed to dress up in the USA flag colors. Blue, Red & white. (Some would say "les trois couleurs; bleu, blanc & rouge").

Next week is Passover and as a last minute girl, I still haven't figured out what am I going to wear. I get the feeling it's going to be floral or stripes.

Belated V-day post

הפוסט הזה היה מתוכנן לוולנטיינס ונצבע בצבעים אדומים ותכשיטים מלאי לבבות אבל בסוף היו לי דברים יותר חשובים לכתוב עליהם ופספסתי את המומנטום. אבל בתכלס? אצלי תמיד יש מלא לבבות וולנטיינס הוא סתם סיבה למסיבה. אבל בואו רגע נתרכז בדבר החשוב באמת? מעיל אדום. כבר בערך שנתיים שאני חומדת במעיל אדום ואפילו אחד הפוסטים הראשונים שלי עסק בזה, אבל למצוא את האדום המושלם (בדיוק כמו באודם) זה לא פשוט. אבל כמה זה כיף כשמוצאים את המעיל המושלם בגוון המושלם ועוד בסייל? זה מה שקרא לי עם המעיל אוברסייז הזה בזארה. 199 ש"ח במקום משהו כמו 600-700 ש"ח. ההמתנה משתלמת, המשימה הושלמה.

Hi there, 

This post was meant to be for Valentines day, and was especially colored in red and full with heart shape jewelries, but I guess I had some other things on mind and totally forgot it. But for me, every day is full with heart shape things (a weakness of mine),and Valentines is just another reason to party.

Leave it a side for a moment and lets concentrate in the important part, red coat. For almost 2 years I am on a run after the perfect red coat, even mentioned it on one of my first posts here. Finding the right red (same goes for lipsticks) is not easy, so when I found this one, in its perfect oversize design and that gorgeous red for 70% off at Zara, I felt blessed. It was worth the waiting, mission accomplished.

Back from London

שבתי מחופשה מפנקת בלונדון, רוויה ברעיונות והשראות. אין כמו ביקור קצרצר בבירה אירופאית בכדי לשאוב אין ספור סגנונות, שילובים ומטעמים אופנתיים אחרים. בגזרת הקניות לא נרשמו התפרעויות חריגות, בעיקר השלמת פרטי בייסיק וביקור ברשתות שלא קימות בארץ (Uniqlo \ & other stories וכדומה).
הרכישה המרגשת ביותר היו נעליי עקב (קטנטן כמו שאני אוהבת) בהדפס מנומר מושלם. חודשים של חיפושים ושיטוטים הגיעו לסופם והביאו עימם חיוך.

Back from a short vacation in London, full with energy, new ideas and lots of inspiration. Nothing like a big European capital to make me happy. Endless moments of extreme chic and loads of styles. I can spend my days watching people's street style. I didn't go for crazy shopping, just few basics and general brands we don't have here such as 'Uniqlo' and '& other stories'.

The most exciting purchase was these leopard kitten heels.  I was looking  for these kind of shoes for so long and I was so happy when I finally saw it on Dune.

Squared Stripes and Layers

החלטתי לנסות פסים עם פסים. את השמלה אתם כבר מכירים, כאן הפכתי אותה לחצאית וצירפתי לה חולצת ג'ינס מכופתרת וסריג מפוספס. אני אוהבת שילובים של פסים עם פסים ושילובים של פסים עם בדי ג'ינס למינהם.
כחובבת אומנות רחוב, אני מאוד אוהבת להצטלם בסביבת גריפיטי ולנסות להשתלב בין הצבעים. בזמן חיפוש לוקיישן לצילום, ראיתי שני אמנים עובדים על גרפיטי ואמרתי לאיל כמה שזה כיף לראות איך זה לאט לאט מעטר יותר ויותר קירות חשופים, ריקים ומשעממים. 
עברתי על הפוסט הקודם ופתאום הבנתי עד כמה אני נראת סובלת בתמונות והלסת שלי נפוחה. לא שמתי לב שאני מדברת על נוחות בזמן שאני סובלת מדלקת חניכיים נוראית כבר כמה ימים ועכשיו אני מבינה שהתנפחה לי הלסת. אז הנה פוסט חייכני יותר.

I decided to try stripes on stripes. You already seen me in this striped dress and here I turned it into a skirt and added denim shirt with striped sweater.

As a street art lover, I enjoy taking photos next to a graffiti, I like matching the colors of my outfit to the background. While we were driving around south Tel-Aviv, looking for the right location, I saw 2 graffiti artists working and mentioned how nice it is to see more and more empty and boring walls turn into pieces of art and color

I went through my previous post and realized how miserable I look in the photos, so the truth is I am suffering from gingivitis in the past week and my jaws got swollen (and all that while I was writing about comfort), so here is a better post, with smiles.

50 Shades of leopard

בשישי ביקרתי במכירה של דר (אפונה בלוג אופנה) ואנה (פאשיוניסטה) המקסימות שסוף סוף הזדמן לי להכירן באופן אישי. בין הפריטים היפיפיים שהיו שם, היתה שמלה מנומרת מזארה בגזרה נשפכת ונינוחה ורק חכיתי לראות מי תיקח אותה. כמעט ואף אחת לא הרימה אותה אפילו, אבל אני חשבתי שהיא פשוט מושלמת.

מסתבר שנשים פוחדות ממנומר, פוחדות להראות באור כזה או אחר, או שלא מרגישות בנוח כי הבד משוייך עם אסוציאציות קדומות. החלטתי לעשות מעשה ולהצטלם לפוסט עם שמלה מנומרת ולהראות שאפשר אחרת וזה לא צריך להיות מפחיד או להראות רע.

I just found out the lots of women are afraid to wear leopard print. Probably old fashion associations or the fear of doing it wrong. I think today there are lots of options of doing it, all you need is to follow few basic rules. Here they are:

Everything happens for the best

אני בהחלט מאמינה במשפט שדברים קורים לטובה, גם אם לפעמים בהתחלה זה לא נראה כך או נראה בדיוק ההפך, עם הזמן דברים מתבהרים ובפרספקטיבה אחרת, מסתכלים לאחור, מחייכים ואומרים תודה.

המון דברים טובים קורים לאחרונה ואני רק יכולה לומר תודה על זה. אחרי חודש מושלם בניו יורק, התחלתי עבודה חדשה ואני עובדת ולומדת המון.

כמות העדכונים אומנם תרד עד שאמצא את האיזון בין חיי הפרטיים, העבודה החדשה והבלוג. בנתיים הנה פוסט קייצי (איזה חום!).

I believe that everything happens for the best, even if it doesn't look like this in the beginning, as time goes by things are getting clearer and everything fits into it's place.

So many good things have happened to me lately, after this fabulous month in NYC, I started a new job in an amazing office, great people and lots of things to learn and explore.
So I won't be posting as much as I'd wish until I find the balance between my personal life, work and blogging. Meanwhile, here is a summer-ish post (too hot outside!).

I heart leopard prints!

אני אוהבת הדפסים מנומרים, מה לעשות?

אומנם היום הדפסים מנומרים נפוצים יותר וכמעט לכל רשת או מעצב יש פריטים מנומרים, עדיין לא מדובר בקונצנזוס, גם לא כל הדפס מנומר הוא מוצלח ויפה. אני אוהבת מנומר עם חברבורות קטנות בשלושה גוונים. החלטתי להקדיש לזה פוסט שלם, אני לא לא אלבש מראה שלם שכולו מנומר, אבל נגיעות מנומרות בשילוב צבע נוסף ששונה מגוון המנומר תמיד עוב (אפשר לראות בפוסט הזה).

I love leopard prints. Though today you can find anything, by every brand\designer with leopard prints, it is still not a consensus. I love leopard prints only when the stripes are small and comes in three shades. Can be combined with another color as seen here.

I decided to dedicate this post to leopard prints. I can't wear a full leopard prints outfit, but some combinations might work. Do you like leopard prints?

Freedom || חופש

הרבה זמן לא הייתי בחופש. ועכשיו הוא הגיע; חופש אמיתי, בלי דאגות, אני אדון לעצמי, עם סדר יום שאני קובעת. אמנם לא מבחירה אבל החלטתי להנות מזה ולנצל את ההזדמנות לעשות מה שעושה לי טוב. נראה לי שהחיוך מסגיר.

ברור שזה זמני ועניין של כמה שבועות עד שאזעק לשגרה, אבל בנתיים? מנצלת את זה כמו שרק אני יודעת.

Freedom. I love it. It's been awhile since I was completely free of duties. I make my own daily plans based on what I want and what makes me feel good. I know I'm not going to do it for long but as for now, I am willing to enjoy in the next few weeks. It wasn't my choice but everything happens for reason. I think my smile shows how much I enjoy it at the moment.
