Perfect escapism - Gift magazine sleepover party

בשבוע שעבר זכיתי להשתתף באחד האירועים הכי צבעוניים, כיפיים, מיוחדים ומעוצבים שהייתי בהם. התקופה האחרונה היתה קשה ובגלל המצב כמעט ולא יצאתי מהבית, לא היה לי חשק לכלום, בקיצור, מצב רוח מבאס.

ההזמנה למסיבה הגיעה הרבה לפני התדרדרות המצב, התלבטתי אם ללכת או לוותר, אבל בשלב מסויים הייתי חייבת שבירת שגרת מלחמה ולהקיף את עצמי בקצת נצנצים ושינוי אוירה, מסיבת הפג'מות של מגזין גיפט היה המקום המושלם לזה.
היינו צריכות להגיע בפיג'מות והמסיבה התקיימה בבית הספר לסטיילינג של גאלה, כיאה למסיבת פיג'מות אמיתית היו ממתקים ורודים וסופר טעימים, הכל עבודת יד של הקונדיטורית רונית צין קרסנטי, מאקלרים ממולאים בשוקוד לבן וציפוי ורדרד, שקדים מסוכרים ועד מרשמלו תוצרת בית שהוגשו בכלים ורודים, לבביים ויפים של הילולה.
האורחות במגזין היו כולן קוראות ואוהדות המגזין משלל תחומים, בלוגריות, מעצבות גרפיות, מעצבות בגדים וגם חובבות אופנה ולייף סטייל מן השורה.
אחרי סיבוב הכרות התפננו לצפיה בסרטי בנות, מריחת לקים, יצירת מסכות מגניבות וצבעוניות מכל מיני גיזרי נייר, נישנושים חסרי תקדים ובעיקר כמה שעות שבהם כאילו נכנסו לסצינה שלקוחה מתוך המגזין. כיף מוחלט, כבר אמרתי?
על המגזין שמעתי ישירות מיעל רגב, מי שהגתה את המגזין והוציאה אותו לפועל. אני חושבת שהייתי בין הראשונים שרכשו, אחרי שראיתי את שלל הפרומואים הצבעוניים של המגזין לא יכולתי להתאפק וקניתי אותו ברגע שראיתי שהוא יצא לאור. המגזין כתוב באנגלית וריכז בעיקר כתבות על תרבות פופ, אופנה, המלצות למקומות שווים, ליווי מיקס של מארק רונסון (נראה לי שלא צריך להוסיף) ובעיקר רצף עמודים צבעוניים הספיקו לי בכדי להתלהב. הוא חדש, הוא אחר, הוא מעניין אותי ובעיקר מכניס אותי לכמה רגעים לעולם קסום של צבע ודמויות מעניינות. לעיתון מצורפים שלל אלמנטים מגניבים כמו אוריגמי בצורת פפיון, השם שלי לגמרי היה רשום על זה, לא נראה לי שאני צריכה להסביר יותר.
בסוף האירוע כל אחת קיבלה שקית מתנה מלאה בגודיז מגניבים, כמו לק של אסי, קרם של לאוקסיטן, קרם של קיל, קעקוע של קוקטית וכו.

Last week I had the opportunity to take part in one of the most colorful sleepover party by Gift Magazine.

The past few weeks were hard for me, as some of you may know I live in Israel and we woke up to a new reality of sirens and rockets. I barley go out (only to work) since it started, and  had a general negative feeling all the time. The invitation came way before it all started so when the time came I wasn't sure I am mentally ready for that, but decided I must take a break from this whole war situation. Apparently, it was the best thing I could do. Few hours of pure girly fun.

I had to wear pajama of course, and the event took place in Gala's styling school, we got to taste delicious handmade sweets like white chocolate eclair, sweetened almonds, marshmallow made by Ronit Tsin Confiserie, all perfectly placed with Hilulla party supplies.

After a short introduction, we could choose whatever we want to do, there was a nail polish spot, ultimate girlish sleepover movies, arts and crafts and endlessly sweets sneaking. Pure fun!

I first heard about Gift magazine from Yael Regev, the creator, editor in chief and art director. I saw colorful promos and was very anxious to see it. Soon as Gift magazine launched, I think I was among the first buyers. The magazine is written in English, mainly dealing with fashion, pop culture, coolest trips recommendations, and even attached mix-tape by Mark Ronson the one and only. Why do I love it? because it's the perfect escapism for all fashion lovers. It's designed in the way that makes you want to live in each and every single page. With crazy bow Origami attached to it, for a bow lover like myself it's the perfect magical escape!

At the end of the event each girl received a bag full of goodies such as Essie nail polish, Kiehl's cream, L'occitane cream and more..

Blue, Red & White

היי!

בהמשך למסעותינו בימי שבת נעימים ומוארים, איל סיפר לי על המושבה האמריקאית בתל אביב. על המקום היפיפה וש"יכול להיות ממש נחמד להצטלם שם". מבנים משוחזרים, שקט מופתי שמתאים יותר למושב (אם לא באים בימי שבת כשיש משחק בבלומפילד) וצבעוניות של פריחה משגעת ומטופחת היטב. ממליצה לכם לקפוץ לאיזור ולהתעפל מהשכונה המתוקתקת והנעימה שקמה (או יותר נכון, שוחזרה) על גבול פלורנטין-יפו.

אני מרגישה שהפוסט הזה די משקף את מה שאני אוהבת לעשות כשאני מתלבשת. שילבתי בין חולצה מפוספסת לסווטשירט מעוטר, בין קז'ואל לנעליים מפונפנות. ניגודים כמו שאני אוהבת. אני לא יכולה לומר שיש לי "סגנון" ספיצי, אבל אני מאוד אוהבת את השילובים של קז'ואל ועילית. 
איכשהו, במושבה האמריקאית התאמתי את הצבעים לדגל האמריקאי (ממש במקרה! נשבעת!). 
עוד רגע פסח ואני מנסה לחשוב על אאוטפיט הולם לחג, למרות שבכל מה שנוגע לאופנה ובגדים אני יותר טיפוס של הרגע האחרון. יכולה לתכנן במשך שבועיים אבל חצי שעה לפני שצריך לצאת, לחשוב על משהו שונה לגמרי מהרעיון המקורי. כרגע ההתלבטויות שלי נעות בין פסים לפירחוני.

Another one of these Saturdays when it's sunny and beautiful outside, Eyal told me about the American colony in south Tel-Aviv. The buildings around went through a serious makeover and restored the whole neighborhood. It is located between Florentin and Jaffa, and you must pay a visit there. Great view, colorful and pleasant.

In this outfit I did something that reflects the way I love dressing up. I love mixing! I love taking casual and mix it with high fashion, creating a oppositeness that goes well together.

And somehow, without even planning, I managed to dress up in the USA flag colors. Blue, Red & white. (Some would say "les trois couleurs; bleu, blanc & rouge").

Next week is Passover and as a last minute girl, I still haven't figured out what am I going to wear. I get the feeling it's going to be floral or stripes.

Matte Lipsticks and me

הנה פוסט מעט שונה מבדרך כלל; אני אוהבת לכתוב על אופנה ולהצטלם אבל כחלק מאהבתי לאסתטיקה, אני אוהבת איפור וחולשתי העיקריות מסתכמות במסקרה ושפתונים. אז את הפוסט הזה החלטתי להקדיש לשפתונים ולהתעמק בשפתונים במרקם מאט שהם אהובים עלי במיוחד.

אני לא יכולה להסביר את הסלידה שלי משפתונים מבריקים, לא יודעת למה, הקונוטציה שזה עושה לי היא שלילית. אומנם יש לי שפתונים יותר לחותיים יותר כמובן, אבל איכשהו אני תמיד חוזרת למאט בסוף. 

לאחרונה, רבלון הוצאיו את ה - Colorburst שלהם בגרסת המאט, לא ראיתי אותם בארץ (יכול להיות שלא הגיעו עדיין או שסתם פספסתי?) אבל בלונדון קניתי שניים ואני מכורה. הם יומיומיים, קיימים במבחר צבעים כיפיים והתחושה שלהם על השפתיים נעימה.
עוד תגלית מרעישה זה ה Chanel Rouge allure velvet, מרקם קטיפתי ונעים, ריח מושלם וגווני בורדו/יין נהדרים. הם כל כך נעימים ומאוד עמידים, וגם כשהם דוהים, זה בצורה חיננתי.
ומאק? אני בטוחה שכולן כבר מכירות את השפתונים שלהם, אבל קולקציית ה- Retro Matte כאילו יצאה במיוחד בשבילי ולבקשתי. גוונים עשירים של אדומים וורודים ואני ממתינה שישובו למלאי.

Here is a different post than the usual personal style ones; as a fashion and aesthetic lover, I also love make up. My weakness is a good mascara and a fabulous lipstick. 

I decided to dedicate a post to my beloved lipstick and focus on the matte scale of my collection.

I can't explain why I prefer matte lipstick, it probably has something to do with the connotation to cheap glosses (I hate how sticky it is!). I have other lipstick in luster and satin texture but my favorites and daily used are the matte ones.

Recently Revlon launched their ColorBurst matte (may be it wasn't that recently but I encounter it for the first time in my last trip to London), since I bought them it's on a daily basis use. I love how soft and colorful it is.
Another favorite player is Chanel rouge allure velvet, a friend introduced me to this collection and I immediately fell in love with the PERFECT texture. If you like the texture of velvet, you must try this!
And lust but not least, I am sure you all know MAC lipstick, but I feel like the retro matte collection was created especially for me, bold, long lasting, colorful matte collection. Must try it!

Stripe a pose

לא חשבתי שאי פעם אוהב פסים ואשלב אותם בלבוש היום יום שלי, בעיקר כי "פסים זה משמין". אבל בשנים האחרונות גליתי שהרגלי אכילה לא נכונים משמינים ולא פסים. אפשר לשלב פסים לרוחב/אורך ולעשות את זה בצורה מושלמת. החלטתי לנצל אירוע משפחתי ללבישת שמלת פסים יחסית פשוטה ולתת לה כיוון שונה בעזרת נעליים ותיק. 

בקשר לנעליים, אין ספק שזהו הזוג האהוב עלי. הן מקולקציית ה Rockstud של ולנטינו ומהרגע הראשון שראיתי אותן בהפקות אופנה ומגזינים, ידעתי שזה סיפור אהבה ועניין של זמן עד שנתאחד. בביקור האחרון בניו יורק קניתי אותן ומאז בכל פעם שבא לי לשדרג הופעה, אני נועלת אותן. מה שהופך את ולנטינו למעצב הנעליים האולטימטיבי בעיני, זה שהוא בדר"כ מעצב שתי גרסאות; סטילטו ועקב קטנטן (לא מצאתי תרגום הולם ל "kitten heel"). אני לא ממש מתמודדת עם עקבים הגבוהים מחמישה סנטימטרים ולכן ה"חצאי" עקבים הללו, מושלמים מבחינתי. במקרה של הדגם הספציפי הזה, הנעליים מגיעות גם בדגם שטוח.

I never thought I'd wear stripes because I grew up hearing that "horizontal stripes make you fat". But as I got older I learned that bad eating habits makes you fat. Stripes can be mixed into day or night outfits. I chose this stripes dress for a family meeting and decided to add these bag and shoes and give a little twist.
These Rockstud shoes by Valentino, are probably my favorite pair. I remember seeing them on magazines and immediately fell in love. It was a matter of time until I'll get them. What I mostly love about Valentino's shoes line is that he usually designs few versions; stilettos and kitten heels. Kitten heels for me are the perfect heel size, because I simply can't walk wearing high heels. This specific pair of shoes, just pump every outfit and bring every look to a different levels of chic.

Burgundy

בסוף השבוע היה נדמה לי לרגע אחד וקריר שאוטוטו באמת חורף, אבל התבדתי עם תחילתו של שבוע זה. בסוף השבוע כבר שלפתי ג'קט ארוך ומחמם יותר ובנתיים אני מפנטזת על ימים קרים וכותבת מכתבי אהבה וגעוגעים למלתחת החורף.

נראה לי שבשביל חורף אמיתי, אאלץ לבקר בקרוב באיזו מדינה אירופאית קרירה.

בנתיים, אאוטפיט קליל עם שמלה של מעצבת ישראלית שגליתי לאחרונה והקלאץ' המושלם של קלייר ויוויר שהגיע אלי בשבוע שעבר. 

השנה בבלאק פריידי וסייבר מאנדיי, החלטתי לוותר על השופינג הקורץ לאור הרכישות בפריז והזמנות שעשיתי אל ההורים כשביקרו בניו יורק. מצאתן משהו שווה?

In the past weekend, for few hours, it felt like winter is coming, but then weather was back high temperatures. For these few windy hours, I took out the jacket I bought in Paris, paired it with this beautiful new dress and the perfect Claire Vivier clutch. Meanwhile, in order to feel real winter, I am planning a trip to Europe soon.
This year, I was fed up with shopping so I didn't get anything for Black Friday\Cyber Monday. Got anything new that worth it? I'd love to hear ;)

Classic Red and Black

מתכון ללוק נשי ומוצלח? קחו חצאית שחורה מתנפנפת בארוך הברך, תצמידו לה חולצה אדומה + עקבים ויש לכם אאוטפיט שהוא על זמני, מתאים ליום ולילה, קליל, נשי ומחמיא.
רוצות לשדרג את המראה עוד יותר? זה כבר בעזרת אקססוריז נכונים. זה לא צריך להיות משהו יקר, זה יכול להיות כמה שרשראות באורכים שונים עם תליונים חמודים (אחד נקנה בשוק ב-20 שקלים, האחרים הכנתי לבד עם חומרים שנקנו בחנויות מתאימות), קלאץ' מעניין או נעליים עם טוויסט (אני בחרתי ניטים, מפתיע).

The key to eternal perfect outfit? Take black midi skirt, add red shirt (can be any other color or print as well) + heels and you've got a winning combination for day, or night feminine and flattering. 
The secret of varied outfits is accessories. I chose a matching red clutch, with studded heels and necklaces. It doesn't have to be expensive, just varied. Sometimes I love going to DIY stores, buy pendants and create my own jewelries for less money and with my own taste.
