Vanity Fair Oscar Party

הייתם מאמינים שבמסיבה של האוסקר שנערכה ע"י מגזין ואניטי פייר יהיו שמלות הרבה יותר יפות מטקס האוסקר עצמו?  מסתבר שכן! אני אישית ממש התאכזבתי מהשמלות בטקס פרסי האוסקר, הכל היה בין תאונה מביכה (היידי כלום) לבין "עוד-שמלה-בגוון-לבן/שמנת/ניוד". אלו שבחרו להחליף שמלה, עשו את זה נהדר.

זה לא סוד שולנטינו הוא מהמעצבים האהובים עלי ביותר, אבל השמלה הזו של זואי דשנל (כן, כן, שוב ניוד) פשוט מושלמת וכל כך מתאימה לה! עם השיער הכהה והפרחים על השמלה.

Could you believe that the dresses at the Vanity fair Oscars party were MUCH better than at the Oscars itself? Apparently, yes! In my opinion, most of the dresses at the Oscars were boring. First, Zooey Deschanel in Valentino, goes perfect with her dark hair and blue eyes.

Purim & Weekend outfit

פורים הוא חג שרק בשנים האחרונות התאהבתי בו. כשהייתי ילדה אהבתי אותו ואז כשהתבגרתי, כנראה מתוך מרד, הפסקתי להתחפש. רק בשנים האחרונות חזרתי לתחפושות ואני מנסה תמיד דברים שחדשים לי ולעשות אותם כמה שיותר יצירתיים. השנה, הנושא של מסיבת פורים בעבודה היה סרטים וסדרות. החלטתי ללכת על סרטים אילמים בכלל וצ'ארלי צ'אפלין בפרט. חיפשתי תמונות, ראיתי סרטים, נסיתי לעקוב אחרים ניואנסים כאלה ואחרים וארגנתי את התחפושת. בעלי לקח את תפקיד האישה בשנות ה-20.

I started loving Purim only few years ago, the joy of coming up with a good idea for costume and find out all the little details that will make it perfect. I came up with the idea for Charlie Chaplin and 1920's silent movies when the AOL Purim party theme was movies and series. Here I am dressed as Charlie Chaplin and my husband dressed as silent movie actress. I had all the little details, from extremely large shoes (took my father's) to the makeup and walking stick. 

The rest of the photos are just an outfit for a Saturday walk around the city.

Star Wars Cookies

לפני כמה ימים, קיבלתי פתק מהדואר לאסוף חבילה, כשפתחתי אותה גליתי את השבלונות לעוגיות האלה של מלחמת הכוכבים. מסתבר ששוב גלשתי באינטרנט כשאני קצת "טיפסי" והזמנתי את זה. לגמרי לא זכרתי. 

A few days ago I went to the post office to pick up a package, when I opened it, I didn't remember that I ordered it. Apparently, I did "drunk online shopping" and didn't remember I ordered these super cool Star Wars cookie cutters by Williams Sonoma.

Black & White love

התאהבתי בשמלה. פשוט כך. נכון, זה קורה לעיתים קרובות, אני מתאהבת בפריטים יפים די מהר. אבל לא הרבה קורה שאני מוצאת פריט שהוא בדיוק מה שחשבתי עליו וכבר יש לי שלל רעיונות עם מה ללבוש ואיך. זה קרה עם השמלה הזו מקסטרו:

I fell in love with a dress. I know it happen quite often that I fall in love with fashionable items, but more likely with accessories. I Rarely find a dress that meets the design I had in mind. For a while now, I've been dreaming of a B&W dress like this one. When I found it, I immediately, imagined few outfits with it. This Dress is by Castro, an Israeli brand. Castro has mainly 3 lines: Red - the casual line, Black - elegant line, Blue - jeans line. Other lines are shoes, lingerie and accessories.

Meatless Monday #3 || מאפה תפו"א פטריות ובצל

היה לי רעיון לפוסט אחר, בכלל רציתי להמשיך בכיוון ההודי שפתח בפני עולם מלא של טעמים וריחות מיוחדים, שכוללים המון קטניות וירקות, אבל אז נזכרתי שיש לי שאריות פירה במקרר וצריך לנצל אותו. חשבתי על פאקורה (סוג של לביבות הודיות) אבל רציתי משהו קצת יותר "מנחם". וחשבתי למה לא לעשות בורקס עם תפו"א ופטריות? הכי אייטיז, רק בטעים, בייתי, ללא אבקות פירה/מרק למינהם ויצא מושלם עם סלט וטחינה ליד.

Weekend outfit || עוד קצת מהצילומים

This one is another part from the photo shooting with Erez Carmel last week. Second outfit is more of classy meets studs, LBD + Prada heels with Zara studded shoulder jackets. As for most of my outfits usually, it's all black but the bag. Usually I am not a fan of big clutches, but I couldn't resist this one. It was the only purchase from the last net-a-porter sale.

Almond butter cookies || עוגיות שקדים וחמאה נימוחות

Few years ago, when Eyal and I started dating, he had to fly for a business trip. I wanted to surprise him with something sweet when he comes back. So I baked these cookies, and put them in a nice jar with a bow and a note from me. They came out so good. 

When I wanted to reproduce the great success I failed, looked all over my recipes and into other recipes and found nothing. 

In the past few days, I tried few times and finally nailed it!

אחת לכמה שבועות אציג מעצב/ת שאני אוהבת ופחות מוכר/ת בארץ. הראשונה תהיה מעצבת צעירה שתוך זמן קצר יחסית השתלטה על כפות רגליהן של הסלביות והיא שרלוט אולימפיה הבריטית, בת 31 . היא התחילה לפני כחמש שנים כמעצבת נעליים (היום יש לה גם ליין תיקים) והנעליים שכנראה הכי מזוהות איתה, הן נעלי החתול:

Once in a while I will introduce here a designer\brand that is less familiar among the Israeli audience. First one, will be the young British designer, Charlotte Olympia, that conquered feet of celebrities like Alexa Chang. Today, alongside her shoes line, she has a unique bags line. Her most famous pair are the kitty flats.

Meatless Monday || שני טבעוני

מאז שחזרתי מהודו והחלטתי לצמצם את צריכת המזון מן החי, יש לי חשק להכין תבשילים הודים. אני עובדת ליד שוק הכרמל ופעם בשבוע יש לי הזדמנות לקפוץ ולקנות מגוון של ירקות ופירות טריים. אחת הקטניות שאפשר למצוא אותה טרייה בעונה הזו של השנה היא אפונה ירוקה מלאה בגרגרים שמנמנים ומזמינים.
המתכון הזה הוא טבעוני, משביע ומחמם. מעט עבודה והמון טעם וריח. לתבשיל קוראים אלו מאטאר, שזה תפוח אדמה ואפונה בהודית.

Grammy's Red Carpet || הבחירות שלי מהשטיח האדום

אתחיל דווקא עם השמלה הטובה ביותר לטעמי, לא חשבתי שדווקא היא תפתיע, אבל ריאהנה. וואו. האדום כמעט קורלי, האודם, השיער, הגזרה. הכל פשוט יושב בצורה כ"כ מושלמת (אולי זו גם פוזת התמונה). בשמלה של Alaïa. 

These are my top 3 choices from the Grammy awards. I must admit that I was surprised that the best outfit was by Rihanna in Alaïa gorgeous red dress.On top of it, natural hair and perfect classy make up = winning combination.

יש תותים נהדרים עכשיו, למה לא לנצל אותם?

מתכון קצר וקליל לקאפקייקס מושלמים, רוב מתכוני הקאפקייק ורוב הקאפקייקס שתאכלו בחוץ, עם כל היופי והמתיקות, הקרם מבוסס על חמאה ואבקת סוכר. מצאתי תחליף מושלם שתמיד עובד ויציב בקישוטים.

Meatless Monday || שני טבעוני

I love pickles of all kinds, but my favorite is pickled lemon. Actually, when I used to live with my parents you could find a jar with pickles in the refrigerator most of the year.

When I grew up and moved out I've realized how little it takes to make pickles and what a great taste it adds to every dish, sandwich or salad.

In that time of the year you can find perfect tiny lemons for this. (you can also use regular size lemons).

You'll need:

• 1.5 Kg tiny lemons
• Grounded salt
• Paprika
• Ground dried chili pepper (optional)
• One large sterilized jar

Wash all lemons, and let it dry. Cut the lemon into half, take out the pits, dip the lemons in the salt-paprika-chili mixture and in the jar. Close the jar and wait for few about 3 weeks, turn the jar upside down every few days. The lemons juice will secrete and thicken.
